Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Develop business strategies to raise our customer’s pool, expand store traffic, increase basket size and optimize profitability
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff
- Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent customer service
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition, plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
- Upholds Daiso's standards for display presentation
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc)
- Managing the store, both retail and company, inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakage
- Training new employees and providing ongoing education for employees
- Effectively create store schedules to meet customer demand while meeting payroll targets
- Create employee schedules, assign schedules and responsibilities to associates, checking to see if these assignments are carried through
- Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and offboarding poor-performing staff
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-3+ Years of Relevant Experience
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
- Proven experience as a retail manager or in other managerial position
- Knowledge of retail management best practices
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizing and leadership skills
