1st Shift Sales Order Packer

Summary: Daifuku is the nation’s leading independent provider of intelligent material handling systems. The Sales Order Packer is responsible for identifying and labeling items prior to packing materials and ensuring timely delivery of these materials while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities: - Carefully identifying and Labeling items prior to packaging of materials received from other departments - Working with other departments to ensure delivery of materials safely and on time - Preparing accurate orders for outbound shipments - Using a computer program (Wynsoft) to stage product to a container - May be required to use material handling equipment (Forklift); following all safety rules - Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures - Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Good computer skills - Good verbal communication skills - Ability to read and write English and use basic math - Good organization skills - Good time management skills - Self-motivated and detail-oriented - Team Oriented - Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language - Carefully identifying and labeling items prior to packaging of materials received from other departments - Working with other departments to ensure delivery of materials safely and on time - Preparing accurate orders for outbound shipments - Using a computer program (Wynsoft) to stage product to a container - May be required to use material handling equipment (Forklift); following all safety rules - Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures - Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction - Medium work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects - Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction - Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time - Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another - Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position - Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling - Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm - Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word - Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction - Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers - The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines - The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles - The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures Preferred Qualifications: - Experience operating forklift equipment a plus - Experience with inventory a plus Required Skills: Forklift Operation, Inventory Management, Computer Skills, Basic Math, English Language Proficiency Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package!
