Job Description
Summary: Cyquent, Inc. is a company seeking a Summer Intern for their QA Testing team. The intern will be involved in functional testing, collaborating with the development team, and maintaining documentation of testing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Attend daily Scrum/stand-up meetings with the Scrum Master and development team to provide updates on completed work, current tasks, and any blockers or issues
- Review and understand assigned user stories, tasks, enhancement requests, and bug tickets within the sprint board
- Ask questions and seek clarification from the person who assigned the ticket whenever requirements, functionality, or expected behavior are unclear
- Execute functional testing on assigned features, applications, and workflows to ensure requirements are working as expected
- Validate application behavior by testing different user scenarios, workflows, and edge cases
- Identify, document, and report defects/issues found during testing
- Create detailed bug tickets that include:
- Steps to reproduce the issue
- Expected results
- Actual results
- Screenshots or supporting evidence
- Severity/impact of the issue
- Retest resolved defects and verify fixes before closing tickets
- Collaborate with developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to communicate testing results and ensure issues are resolved efficiently
- Maintain accurate documentation of testing activities, results, and assigned work items
- Participate in Agile/Scrum processes throughout the software development lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
