Job Description
Summary/Objective: In this role, the Material Expeditor will be responsible for order processing and fulfillment of customer orders. This role includes working with other warehouse team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track the status of purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to address and resolve supply chain issues.
- Expedite critical or delayed materials to support production schedules.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory control and efficient distribution.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement, purchase orders, and supplier interactions.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the procurement and supply chain process.
- Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and engineering teams to meet project requirements.
- Generate and analyze reports to assess material flow and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding materials and supply chain management.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a material expeditor, supply chain coordinator, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations is a plus.
