Civil Engineer in Training

Summary: Cushing Terrell is a multidisciplinary design firm with a focus on creating sustainable systems and spaces. They are seeking a Civil Engineer in Training to join their design team, where the individual will produce construction documents for civil site projects and gain experience in water/wastewater design. Responsibilities: - Work under the direction of a licensed project engineer - Plan layouts of small projects and coordinate with other departments - Provide basic research into jurisdictional requirements - Preparation of project plans and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office - Preparation of engineering calculations - Preparation of technical memorandums and reports - Construction administration including, but not limited to, onsite field observation Required Qualifications: - ABET accredited degree in Civil Engineering - 0 to 5 years job related experience within the US - Base knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Outlook, Microsoft Office. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to work with engineering concepts in real world applications - Strong technical writing skills - Ability to do basic calculations - Understand the fundamentals of civil engineering - Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Has Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam - Preferred at least 2+ years of job related experience within the US Required Skills: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Engineering calculations, Civil engineering fundamentals, Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam Benefits: Competitive benefits package, Annual performance bonus
