Controls Engineer

Summary: Corning Incorporated is one of the world’s leading innovators in glass, ceramic, and materials science. They are seeking a motivated Test Cell Controls Engineer to design, develop, validate, and deploy control solutions used in exhaust aftertreatment test systems. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy control and measurement systems for engine test cells, laboratory benches, and test vehicles - Program and support PLC-based control systems and integrate field instrumentation - Develop control logic and applications using C#, Python, MATLAB, or similar languages - Implement and tune PID and advanced control strategies for thermal, flow, and emissions systems - Create intuitive HMIs and data visualization tools for operators and engineers - Communicate with instruments and ECUs using CAN, CCP, XCP, and TCP/UDP protocols - Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and test engineers to solve complex system-level problems - Analyze test data to ensure accuracy, robustness, and repeatability of results - Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of test systems Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (required).
