Job Description
Summary: Cornerstone Companies, Inc. is a nationally recognized healthcare real estate and facilities management company with over 35 years of experience. They are hiring a Maintenance Technician to support medical office buildings by performing preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and emergency response to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Electrical systems
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Plumbing systems
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Lighting and building infrastructure
- Respond to comfort calls and make system adjustments
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Perform weekly and monthly generator load transfers
- Perform fire system impairments for testing and construction purposes
- Repair or replace ceiling tiles and grid systems
- Repair or replace door hardware and restroom fixtures
- Repair or replace walls, floors, windows, ceilings, and finishes
- Perform minor electrical repairs (ballasts, switches, receptacles)
- Perform minor plumbing repairs (toilets, urinals, water heaters, faucets)
- Maintain office and restroom functionality, including vent cleaning
- Conduct routine safety and facility inspections
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Participate in emergency response procedures
- Maintain clean, organized mechanical rooms, shops, and storage areas
- Order maintenance materials and supplies and pick up items as needed
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records
- Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers
- Assist with renovations, furniture moves, and facility reconfigurations
- Participate in audits, assessments, and on-call rotation as required
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Facilities Maintenance, Building Maintenance, or Property Maintenance - at least 1 year
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems efficiently
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple work orders
- Safety-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and customer-service approach
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in medical office buildings, healthcare facilities, or commercial properties
- HVAC or EPA certification
- Electrical or plumbing experience
- CMMS or work-order system experience
