Job Description
Summary: Cornell Pump Company is a prominent leader in manufacturing centrifugal pumps for various industries. They are seeking an Inside Sales Application Engineer to support customers by helping them select the right equipment, manage quotes, and build strong relationships with customers and dealers.
Responsibilities:
- Answer customer questions by phone and email about equipment selection and provide technical support
- Help customers choose the right pump models using technical information (BOMs, curves, dimensions)
- Prepare quotes and process sales orders
- Follow up with leads and existing customers
- Address technical and business questions or concerns
- Provide product demonstrations when needed
- Support and manage larger projects
- Build strong relationships with dealers, customers, and coworkers
- Represent the company at dealer events, trade shows, and customer visits (some travel required)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 1-2 years of inside sales or related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of industrial pump applications is a plus
