This position is for technology development for compressors and system structure design and component qualification.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mechanical Structure Design and Innovation
· Design new structure to meet technology development targets
· Design layout and tooling for design verification lab process and future production
· Source and select the critical components, order related components and support prototype build both in Lab and in plant
2. Components Qualification
· Identify new design potential risks by DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) Process
· Organize design review (both internal & external) on mechanical design
· Work with Product Engineer to plan and setup engineering reliability qualification test if necessary
3. TRL Project Development
· Participate team activities and interface with other functional areas, such as NPD Engineering, Application Engineering, Supplier Quality and Procurement, Manufacturing.
· Document Technical & Project Learning and store it in the appropriate folder for review if needed.
· Problem solving and decisions making during TRL projects development process
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics or Compressor Design and other related areas
· Solid technical knowledge and skills on mechanical design, GD&T, material, etc.
· Familiar with air-conditioning/ refrigeration components and functions is preferred
· Good communication skills and English skill on writing, listening and speaking is required
