Job Description
Summary: Constellation is the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy, focused on accelerating the transition to a carbon-free future. The Strategic Engineer, Electrical position involves performing engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations under general supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
- Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications and all regulatory requirements
- Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures
- Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures
- Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department
Required Qualifications:
- B.S in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
- For Mid-level E02 Engineer: B.S. in Engineering, a minimum 2 years Nuclear experience or related engineering experience
- Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, 'Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants'
- For Senior E03 Engineer: B.S. in Engineering, a minimum 5 years Nuclear experience or related engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer in Training Certification
- Good grasp of techniques and a good understanding of the fundamental functions performed by the group. As responsibility increases within the organization
