Condé Nast is one of the world’s most renowned media companies creating and distributing every type of media today – print, video and film, digital, audio and social. Our company is home to iconic brands including Vogue, The New Yorker, GQ, Glamour, AD, Vanity Fair and Wired, among many others. The company's award-winning content reaches 84 million consumers in print, 367 million in digital and 379 million across social platforms, and generates more than 1 billion video views each month.
We are a privately owned company headquartered in New York, with a significant business and leadership presence in London. We operate in 32 markets, including China, the Middle East, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan, the U.K. and the U.S., with other countries served by local license partners.
This leadership role reports to the CPTO, and is responsible for defining and delivering an enterprise wide data platform and product strategy that transforms Conde Nast’s customer data capabilities into scalable, reusable, and high impact assets. This role is central to making data accessible, and embedded in decision-making across Condé Nast.
The role is focused on building and scaling the company’s data products & data platform, operating model, and technical ecosystem, enabling internal teams to efficiently develop, deploy, and leverage data and AI-driven products - and at the same time rolling out scalable data products to be used by Conde’s customer-facing platforms.
This position sits at the intersection of product management, data architecture, and AI/ML enablement, ensuring that Condé Nast’s data infrastructure supports both internal innovation and external revenue-generating use cases.
The VP will lead the evolution to a platform-led, productized data ecosystem, enabling self-service, accelerating time-to-value, and embedding intelligence across the organization.
The position is based in New York and is a member of the Product Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Product Leadership
Define and lead a clear, commercially focused data product strategy and roadmap, with strong stakeholder alignment across the business. Focus on solving high-impact business problems through scalable data products that drive revenue, improve performance and unlock new opportunities across editorial, commercial and product teams. Drive prioritisation based on KPI metrics such as TCO, ROI or other business-oriented results.
Drive adoption and sustained usage of data products across the organization by ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and embedded in business workflows. Establish scalable approaches to self-service data insights, enabling teams to independently access and apply data in their day-to-day decision-making
Lead the evolution of the company’s first-party data strategy, including oversight of core platforms and capabilities such as customer identity, audience segmentation, targeting, personalization and activation. Ensure a cohesive, cross-functional approach that connects data, product, and commercial priorities to maximize the value of Condé Nast’s data assets.
Translate business needs into clear product requirements and priorities, and drive execution through strong cross-functional alignment. Ensure data products consistently deliver measurable outcomes with clear accountability for adoption, impact and performance.
Commercial Impact & Innovation
Drive the productization of data to unlock new revenue streams and enhance existing ones. Lead the development of personalization and recommendation product capabilities that increase engagement, conversion and lifetime value.
Identify opportunities to create new value from data, including insight-led products and strategic partnerships that expand audience understanding and unlock incremental revenue. Continuously refine products through testing, iteration, and performance analysis to maximize business outcomes and commercial impact.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Champion a culture of insight-led, customer-centric decision making across the organization. Enable teams to leverage data and insights to set priorities, evaluate trade-offs, and guide teams through complex challenges to deliver the highest value opportunities for the business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with stakeholders and senior leaders across Editorial, Consumer, Commercial, Product and Technology teams to align on priorities, secure buy-in, and ensure successful delivery of high-impact data products. Partner across the full product lifecycle—from market insight and concept development through to launch and ongoing optimization—to embed data capabilities into workflows, platforms and experiences.
Team & Organizational Leadership
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of product leaders and specialists. Establish clear roles, career paths, and ways of working that drive accountability, consistent delivery of impactful data products and an AI-first approach to product development.
Foster a collaborative culture and develop a community of data product practitioners across the organization, promoting best practices and enabling teams to leverage data and AI to deliver with ownership, speed and clarity, solving key business problems.
Leadership & Communication
Communicate vision, strategy, and progress with clarity and impact to senior stakeholders and teams. Drive alignment and momentum across a complex, global organization, influencing decisions and outcomes through a hands-on, collaborative approach.

Strong understanding of modern data architectures and platforms (e.g. cloud data warehouses, lakehouse architectures, streaming systems, data orchestration frameworks) and the end-to-end data lifecycle (ingestion, transformation, modeling, serving, and governance).
Experience delivering AI/ML-enabled products in partnership with data science teams, and the ability to engage deeply with technical teams while translating complexity into clear product direction and business value.
Demonstrated success delivering complex, cross-functional programs from concept through to launch and optimization, ideally within media, digital, or subscription-based businesses.

Experience implementing consent management frameworks and user privacy preferences, with a working knowledge of global data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, LGPD) and their implications for product design and governance.
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience building, scaling, and motivating high-performing, cross-functional teams in agile environments.
Recognized thought leader in product management and/or data products, with a strong point of view on industry trends and best practices.
Strong commitment to continuous improvement, fostering high-performing team cultures, and leading with integrity, accountability, and collaboration.
Prior experience in media, publishing, or entertainment is advantageous but not essential.
