We’re looking for a highly skilled and quality-driven professional to join our DevOps group and take ownership of codebase management and development workflows in a fast-paced onsite environment at UPC. This role is ideal for someone with strong Java expertise, hands-on DevOps experience, and a passion for building reliable CI/CD pipelines, improving delivery quality, and supporting high-performing engineering teams. C++ experience is considered a strong priority and will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
Manage and support the codebase and development workflows as part of the DevOps group.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting Java and JavaScript applications.
Build, enhance, and support backend services usingJava, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline build, deployment, integration, and release processes.
Use tools such asGitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and other DevOps platforms to improve software delivery efficiency and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and help drive high-quality, maintainable, and secure deliverables.
Support integration and deployment activities across development environments.
Troubleshoot build, deployment, and runtime issues across Linux-based environments.
Contribute to a culture of first-time-right execution and zero-defect production delivery.
Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and continuous improvement opportunities.
Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided.
Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and/or direct reports.
Qualifications
Strong experience inJavawith deep understanding ofCore Java / J2EE fundamentals.
Hands-on experience withSpring BootandREST APIs.
C++knowledge or experience strongly preferred and prioritized.
Strong understanding ofJVMandLinux internals.
Experience designing and maintainingCI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such asGitHub,GitHub Actions, andArtifactory.
Strong scripting skills.
Experience working inLinuxenvironments.
Ability to perform thorough code reviews and drive high-quality engineering standards.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience withintegration testingis a plus.
Knowledge ofOracleis a plus.
Experience with web services is a plus.
Familiarity withAgile development methodologyis a plus.
Proven commitment to delivering high-quality solutions with minimal production defects.
The base salary range for this position is $92.250-$ 99.000 USD, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
