Producer, Associate

Summary: Company 3 provides a full range of Creative Services for content creators. The Associate Producer will support the feature finishing production process, coordinating tasks and ensuring timely completion of all project deliverables. Responsibilities: - The Associate Producer will coordinate and execute task-based project requests as directed by the feature finishing producer(s) - They will use Media Pulse & Click Up - They will generate project-based tasks and work orders for conform, color, data and QC as directed by the feature finishing producing team - Track conform, color and data production tasks - Participate in active learning of feature finishing process and workflow; and adhere to the standard operating procedures set forth by the feature production team - Engage in review of production schedules and coordinate session bookings as directed by lead feature finishing producer(s) - Understand production processes (dailies, VFX, editorial) in relation to post production feature finishing - Coordinate tasks related to VFX pulls and VFX reviews - Coordinate tasks related to QC - Gain knowledge of conform and various color related spec information in features - Escalate potential risks or timeline issues to the Producer or Supervisor promptly - Familiarity with various file formats and respective measure units - Develop an understanding of the relation between feature production team and the various support teams (Operations, Deliverables, Archives) - Active participation in rotating production meetings Required Qualifications: - Previous experience in a feature or episodic dailies, Post Production or VFX finishing environment - Ability to perform in a fast-paced high-pressure environment with competing priorities under tight deadlines - Ability to follow direction and to provide timely, comprehensive updates and follow-through - Strong communication skills and highly organized - Understanding of the Post Production scheduling process and the concept of deadlines therein - Understanding of the digital editorial process and the relationship between offline and online editorial environments - Develop understanding of finishing process and know when to escalate - Able to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders - This is not a remote position and will require working in either LA studio on a daily basis - Must be able to work out of our LA studios as needed - Must be able to work occasional overtime and on weekends, as needed - Must be able to work variable shifts, as needed - Great interpersonal skills, be meticulous, always organized and work calmly and professionally, especially during high pressure situations - Appetite to learn and master the digital finishing workflow including image acquisition technologies, digital camera types, best editorial procedure, online-conform, color correction, LUTs, digital cinema, HDR and deliverable requirements and procedures relevant to each of your projects - Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with internal faculties including editorial, color, operations, data and engineering - Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects - Thrives in a fast-paced environment; and ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities - Highly organized and able to work independently within their own process Preferred Qualifications: - Entertainment and/or Media Industry experience preferred - Strong systems skills, especially with Media Pulse, Jira/Confluence - Experience with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel and Word Required Skills: Feature finishing production, Post production scheduling, Digital editorial process, VFX finishing, Media Pulse, Click Up, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, file formats, measurement units Benefits: A comprehensive package of health, retirement, and insurance benefits and paid time off, Retirement, select insurance benefits, and where required by law, health benefits
