Job Description
Summary: Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is excited to announce their 2026 Summer Internship program, aimed at engaging interns in the fight against hunger. This 10-week internship provides hands-on experience in food security, job training, and advocacy while supporting CFBNJ's vital programs.
Responsibilities:
- Join us in various exciting projects that play a crucial role in improving the administrative, operational, or technical aspects of your role. Your active participation is key to keeping our organization running smoothly and effectively in all its diverse areas!
- Help propel the mission of CFBNJ by skillfully managing and analyzing data, performing thorough research, and diligently organizing the necessary documentation. Your efforts will align perfectly with our objectives and boost our ability to serve the community
- Be part of company events and networking opportunities that offer fantastic chances for your professional development, building connections with fellow team members, and engaging with stakeholders committed to helping those in need
- Experience comprehensive training that covers a wide array of tasks to enhance your support for the operational needs of your department. This training will provide you with the crucial knowledge and skills to excel in your role
- Keep a close focus on understanding the nuances of our organization, including how we effectively deliver essential services to our neighbors in need and work alongside community partners to address pressing social challenges
Required Qualifications:
- Currently a rising Junior or Senior, you should be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university
- A passion for or prior experience in social services or a non-profit environment
- Reliable transportation for travel requirements outside of your daily commute
- A solid technical skill set, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook 365 and Microsoft Teams
- Proven time management and organizational abilities
- Comfortable engaging with diverse populations and presenting in front of groups, as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual or multilingual applicants fluent in Arabic, English, Spanish, Creole, or Bengali
- Creative talents, particularly with tools like Canva, Adobe, or social media platforms
