Do work that matters:
As a Senior Manager within Everyday Banking Line 1 Risk, you will be accountable for the delivery of priority risk, regulatory remediation and rectification initiatives across the domain.
This role provides a dedicated execution layer within the federated Line 1 Risk model, ensuring complex, cross-domain risk themes are delivered in line with business priorities, regulatory expectations and agreed timeframes. Acting as a key accountable lead, you will drive coordination across crews to achieve consistent, high-quality rectification outcomes.
You will play a critical role in strengthening the EDB risk profile by accelerating remediation outcomes, improving governance, and embedding execution discipline across Line 1 Risk.
On any given day, you will:
Own and drive end-to-end delivery of priority risk remediation initiatives.
Act as the central point of accountability for complex, cross-crew risk themes, ensuring timely and complete closure.
Establish clear delivery plans, milestones and success metrics aligned to business and risk priorities.
Coordinate across product crews, risk SMEs and stakeholders to remove blockers and maintain delivery momentum.
Escalate delivery risks, trade-offs and dependencies with a focus on maintaining progress and timely outcomes.
Provide targeted risk advice to support remediation outcomes and uplift control effectiveness where required.
Engage with Crew Leads, Product Owners, Line 2 Risk, Compliance, Legal and senior stakeholders to support effective decision-making and timely resolution of risks and dependencies.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Deep understanding of operational risk and compliance frameworks and regulatory expectations
Proven experience delivering complex, multi-stream regulatory or risk remediation programs
Experience operating in high scrutiny, fast-paced environments with competing priorities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Creative and collaborative approach to problem solving, with the ability to simplify complex processes and identify pragmatic solutions.
Strong reasoning and influencing skills and ability to work with stakeholders at various levels across the organisation.
Ability to analyse trends, identify critical threats and opportunities, diagnose problems and issues, and recommend appropriate actions.
Demonstrated experience managing programs of work and preparing project updates and insights for senior leadership.
Strong understanding of issues management, remediation governance, regulatory commitments and control uplift.
