Manager Broker Conduct and Investigations
Location: Sydney CBD Area
Do work that matters:
We are seeking an experienced risk and investigations professional to lead complex broker conduct matters across the third-party channel. This role plays a critical part in protecting the Group by ensuring robust investigation outcomes, strong governance, and effective consequence management aligned to regulatory expectations.
You will be responsible for identifying and managing broker misconduct, fraud, and compliance risks, while providing trusted advice to senior stakeholders and strengthening governance frameworks across Home Buying.
On any given day you will:
Lead end-to-end investigations into broker misconduct, fraud, and regulatory breaches.
Assess broker-introduced loan files and intelligence sources to determine risk exposure and underlying drivers.
Deliver clear, evidence-based findings and recommendations aligned to internal frameworks and regulatory standards.
Recommend appropriate outcomes in line with the Broker Consequence Management Framework.
Ensure all investigations and decisions are consistent, well-documented, and defensible for audit and regulatory review.
Identify emerging risks, systemic issues, and control gaps, and drive improvements.
Engage and influence stakeholders across Sales, Credit, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and external partners.
Support escalation of significant matters to senior leaders and governance forums.
Contribute to audit, assurance, and risk forum activities.
Your experience looks like:
Strong knowledge of NCCP, responsible lending obligations, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven experience in complex investigations, misconduct, or fraud risk management.
Deep understanding of risk management, governance, and consequence management frameworks.
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving capability, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across business and risk functions.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, regulator-ready outputs.
