Residential Care Associate I - 5551

Summary: ColumbiaCare Services, Inc. is a non-profit, behavioral health and Veteran’s service agency dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health. The Residential Care Associate I will provide companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients, support their daily living skills, and assist with meal preparation and medication management under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities: - Provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients - Provide personal care services and support that helps individuals develop appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living to increase or maintain their level of functioning - Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing, while encouraging client participation - Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed by the client’s primary care provider - Transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services - Maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services Required Qualifications: - Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred - A dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete their activities of daily living (ADL's) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs) - Driving is an essential function of this position - Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire - Maintain a safe driving record - Have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check - This position requires the ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds - It may require the ability to occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable - You must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques and may require an individual to lift and transfer clients - Direct Care staff must be 18 or older at the time of hire Required Skills: Mental health experience, Caregiving experience, Crisis de-escalation training, CPR training Nice-to-Have Skills: Compassion Benefits: Affordable Medical/Dental/Vision plans, Flexible Spending Account, Generous Paid Time Off, Whole Health & Wellness Reimbursement Program, Professional development and training opportunities, 100% Vested Retirement Plan w/ up to 6% Match, Holiday Pay (9), Paid Personal Growth Hours, Paid Time Off for Mental Health, Company Paid Life Insurance, Spontaneous & Longevity Bonuses, Loan Forgiveness Program Eligibility, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & Tobacco Cessation Program, Vocational Training Program: Accelerated training path towards QMHA certification
