Job Description
Summary: Columbia Bank is offering an engaging internship program that provides students with hands-on experience in the finance sector. Interns will assist the Finance Team with data analysis, reporting, and operational tasks while gaining valuable insights and professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and routine operational tasks
- Streamline workflows by supporting month-end close activities, reconciliations, and documentation efforts
- Enhance team efficiency while offering hands-on exposure to key financial and operational processes within the organization
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student aiming to graduate in spring 2026/2027 or a recent graduate within the last year
- Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), fully onsite, for 10 weeks starting in June
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Data Analytics, or Business Analytics
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams (Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Procurement)
- Willingness to seek guidance and confirm understanding when tasks are new
- Eagerness to learn and take on new tasks
- Strong sense of accountability and reliability
- Ability to manage time effectively, especially around month end cycles
- Professionalism and discretion when working with financial information
