Job Description
Summary: The City of Fort Collins is seeking a Wellness Program Intern to assist with the implementation of City-wide wellness programming. The intern will engage in program development, conduct needs assessments, and help maintain wellness communication tools.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with program marketing
- Plan and implement a multi-week incentive program
- Assist with planning and conducting large wellness events
- Work with City departments on their wellness needs
- Maintain the Wellness website
- Conduct fitness room orientations and stretch sessions
Required Qualifications:
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated cultural competence to effectively interact, work, and develop meaningful relationships with people of diverse identities, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds
- Strong learning orientation. Leverages all resources and is creative in ways of learning for self to continue adapting to changing issues and trends
- A desire and ability to understand the diverse needs of internal and external customers, and to create experiences and deliver services that exceed their expectations
- A desire and ability to utilize digital tools for organizational information, individual, and teamwork
- Excellent customer service skills including the ability to precisely articulate complex information to others in an ethical and respectful manner
- Excellent public relations and communication skills including the ability to interact and work effectively and courteously with people from varying social, cultural, and economic backgrounds
- Interest in helping employees improve their health and wellbeing
