We are the EDA Tools and Support team dedicated to supporting all Hardware Design teams at Cisco. Our mission is to empower our customers to deliver high-quality products within fast-paced development cycles, meeting demanding schedules and stringent performance requirements. By streamlining and optimizing the design process, we enable our customers to focus on innovation and product excellence.
Your Impact
·Lead and manage the EDA support team to provide timely and effective technical assistance for EDA tools and related infrastructure.
·Collaborate with engineering, design, and IT teams to ensure EDA environments are optimized for performance and reliability.
·Develop and implement support processes, best practices, and documentation to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
·Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and manage software updates and licenses.
·Monitor system performance, identify potential issues proactively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
·Manage resource allocation, team development, and performance evaluations within the support function.
·Stay current with industry trends and advancements in EDA technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
·Actively engage in hands-on support activities, directly assisting users and resolving complex technical issues to maintain high service levels and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
·Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in supporting Electronic Design Automation tools and environments.
·Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field.
·Strong technical knowledge of EDA software suites and hardware platforms used in electronic design.
·Experience in team leadership and managing technical support operations.
·Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
·Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
·Familiarity with software license management and vendor coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
·Background in electronic engineering or related technical field.
·Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, SKILL, Tcl) to streamline support tasks.
·Experience with LSF or other compute cluster management systems.
·Knowledge of project management methodologies.
·Ability to analyze system performance metrics and implement optimizations.
