Job Description
Summary: Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company that provides aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions for aircraft engines and gas turbines. They are seeking an intern to gain real-world experience in a dynamic setting, working on hands-on projects and contributing to innovation in the aerospace and energy sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Count ideas implemented
- Count ideas suggested
- Note KPI Andons per T5
- Update T3 Gemba Walk Accountability Board Accordingly
- Scribe Top 3 Actions on RAIL To-Do List
- Update T3 Gemba Walk Last Visit Date
- Facilitate rapid response closures for RAIL items
- Developing Kamishibai Maps/Layered Audits
- Soliciting Critical Spare Lists from Team
- Replace Engines overall signage (30” x 36” Fast Signs) per new standard
- Implement shadow board cleaning supply from 5S Supplies
- Standardise and prototype engine tooling shadow board
- Repurpose “dusty” training room, work w/ SLT
- Mark out Official CSD Red Tag Zone in South Lot
- Establish auction process?
- Execution of RT disposition (scrap away, auction)
- Deploy shipping / receiving goals and Output Tracker
- Deploy safety paretos
- Deploy Equipment KPI
- WBB Downdraft 3P Layout
- Stores 3P Layout
- Based on Watkins Wellness Tour / approval from site leadership
- Build Method to PN List Database
- Build Standard Hours by Method Database
- Standardise / Implement Efficiency Tracker / Report by resource group
- Support analysis of parts that can be impacted w/ training team
- Validate tooling diameters and sizes
- Create Kanban for consumables
- Update AutoCAD / Visio files:
- Facility changes per LLW
- Manual Value Stream Maps
- Create designs and work w/ resources to build
Required Qualifications:
- Must attend entirety of internship from the indicated start and end date noted above
- Minimum 3.2 GPA
- Must have completed a minimum of 3 years at an accredited university
- Must be able to work full-time hours at least 3 days/week
- Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role
- Chromalloy participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S
- Any offer of employment will also be conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with company policy and applicable federal and state regulations
