Job Description
Summary: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Systems Analyst II to support Epic’s Care Everywhere application and Epic Client Systems Administrator functions. The role involves providing operational support, configuration, and maintenance of Epic technologies while collaborating with various teams to ensure effective interoperability solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform operational support, maintenance, and intermediate-level configuration tasks in Epic’s Care Everywhere application
- Participate in the analysis and resolution of interoperability issues, including external data exchange and provider communication challenges
- Assist in maintaining provider directory accuracy and supporting compliance with applicable regulations
- Gather requirements, prepare documentation, and assist in developing specifications for system enhancements
- Contribute to the creation and execution of test plans for upgrades, new features, and regulatory updates
- Participate in on‑call rotation as required and provide tier-two support for Care Everywhere incidents
- Support configuration and routine maintenance of Epic infrastructure components including InterConnect, WebAPI, Blob Server, Epic Print Service, BCA, and WSSA
- Assist in supporting APIs using Epic’s FHIR and HL7 standards to enable secure data exchange with internal and third‑party systems
- Collaborate with clinical and business teams to understand workflows and participate in recommending interoperability solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues of intermediate complexity to ensure performance and reliability
- Support the implementation of security and compliance requirements for FHIR endpoints and Epic infrastructure
- Collaborate with senior analysts and contribute to knowledge‑sharing, documentation, and continuous process improvement within the team
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners across both technical and non‑technical domains
- Support compliance activities related to healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and enterprise information security policies
- May be required to travel to/from and work at various CHOP locations, including patient care areas, and attend mandatory certification training as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Required
- At least one (1) year experience working within a healthcare environment and within Information Systems. Required
- Foundational knowledge of Epic system administration, HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability standards
- Basic to intermediate familiarity with server administration concepts, APIs, and Epic Print Service
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements such as HIPAA and general information security practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within a team
- Solid documentation skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to learning and professional development

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, IS, Business, or Healthcare - Preferred
- Epic certification(s) in Care Everywhere, Bridges, or applicable ECSA modules preferred
- At least two (2) years working within a healthcare environment and within Information Systems. Preferred
- Experience with Epic applications, interoperability, or healthcare data exchange preferred
