Chevron Global Business Services (GBS), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position of Software Integration Engineer. Successful candidates will join the IT Company, which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1800 employees delivering business services and solutions across the globe.
Overview
The Software Integration Engineer is responsible for participating in the full software development lifecycle, with a primary focus on designing, building, and supporting integrations across enterprise systems. This role ensures seamless connectivity between vendor solutions, SAP platforms, and custom-built applications to enable reliable and efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable integrations between enterprise systems, including SAP and custom applications.
Develop and maintain APIs, data interfaces, and integration services to support both real-time and batch processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, architecture, and delivery teams) to define integration requirements and solutions.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across integrated systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration and data-related issues, including performance and reliability concerns.
Apply and promote integration standards, best practices, and governance guidelines.
Support testing activities, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Contribute to deployment and release activities, ensuring smooth transitions to production environments.
Document integration designs, data flows, and operational procedures to support maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 8 years of experience in similar roles.
Experience in integration development within enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of API development and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, event-driven architectures).
Experience working with middleware or integration platforms (e.g., Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, or similar).
Familiarity with SAP integrations and enterprise data flows.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
Understanding of data formats and protocols (JSON, XML, messaging systems).
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based solutions, particularly in Azure environments.
Exposure to event streaming technologies (e.g., messaging platforms or service buses).
Experience working in cross-functional and global teams.
Understanding of security standards and best practices for integration solutions.
