Bakery Clerk - # 63 Indio (ages 16-17)

Summary: Chedraui USA operates El Super, a supermarket known for its exceptional value and variety in grocery products. They are seeking a Bakery Clerk to provide customer service and assist in various bakery tasks under the supervision of the Bakery Manager. Responsibilities: - Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to the Bakery department - Assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases - Clean, fill, and rotate the self serve displays that are both in the front of the store and adjacent to the store bakery - Work with customers to take special orders - Work with the Baker to determine which items may need to be baked or decorated - Help in the department cleaning by hosing down the floors with soap and water to ensure the department cleanliness Required Qualifications: - Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos - Write simple correspondence - Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization - Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions - Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds - Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to: preparation, handling and serving food Preferred Qualifications: - Basic PC/Outlook skills - Retail Management Certificate Required Skills: Food Handler Card, Basic PC skills, Outlook, Retail Management Certificate, Customer Service Benefits: 401(k) Retirement Benefit, Continuing Education Benefits, And Much More!
