Accounts Payable Intern (Year-Round)

Summary: Charter Manufacturing is a fourth-generation family-owned business focused on growth and improvement. They are seeking an Accounts Payable Intern to contribute to meaningful projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop skills through mentorship and training. Responsibilities: - Heavy transactional work processing invoices in compliance with AP policies and procedures - Communication with external suppliers via email and phone to provide updates on invoice status - Develop a general understanding of the accounting or financial processes - Document and improve processes - Create specific reports and complete special projects Required Qualifications: - Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level - Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher - Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills - Ability to succeed in a team environment - Ability to handle multiple tasks Preferred Qualifications: - Accounting or Finance major with multiple related courses completed toward major - Strong attention to details, accuracy, and reliability - Advanced Excel skills - Oracle experience Required Skills: Microsoft Office, Accounting knowledge Important Skills: Advanced Excel, Oracle experience Nice-to-Have Skills: Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Teamwork, Attention to detail Benefits: Competitive compensation, Receive weekly pay, Paid holidays
