Automation Specialist 1

The Automation Specialist 1 will perform basic instrumentation and controls designs, assist with specification development, and support testing and startup of control systems. Responsibilities: - Performs basic instrumentation, controls and related systems designs using 3D and 4D programs - Assists with specification development - Creates basic human-machine interface (HMI) graphics, programmable logic controller programming(PLC), report development, etc - Assists with testing and startup of control systems - Reviews simple component level shop drawings, contractor clarifications - Assist with testing oversight - May attend client/contractor meetings - Performs other duties as required Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - 0 years of experience - Domestic and/or international travel may be required - Basic knowledge of instrumentation, controls and related systems designs - Good communication skills - Basic knowledge of Microsoft office suite of programs - Basic knowledge of 3D and 4D design practices Required Skills: Instrumentation, Controls systems design, 3D design, 4D design, Human-machine interface (HMI) graphics, Programmable logic controller programming (PLC), Microsoft Office Benefits: All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
