Job Description
Summary: Cavicchio Greenhouses, Inc. is a company focused on providing superior service to customers in the landscape department. The Indoor Customer Service Team Member is responsible for resolving order issues, processing orders, and answering customer inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and discuss goods, products, and services
- Answer customer questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection or alternatively refer them to a member of the sales team
- Accurately process sales orders, deliveries, and scheduled pick-ups
- Receive, disburse, and record monetary transactions
- Answer and transfer telephone calls to correct salespeople or departments
- Ensure daily scheduled pick-up/returns are completed in a timely manner
- Resolve customer service complaints by exchanging merchandise, refunding money, or adjusting bills
- Refer unresolved or escalated customer complaints to designated departments or managers for further investigation
- Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions as well as policies regarding payment and exchanges
- Answer questions regarding the Company and its’ products in easy-to-understand terms
- Execute the duties of the position in alignment with the Company Mission and Conduct Policies
- Use technology as required by the position
- Complete required annual trainings as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively
- Basic math skills
- Outgoing personality and adept at interactions with customers
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to varying tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members and other internal departments
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of related customer service experience preferred
- Prior experience in a nursery, landscape, horticulture environment preferred
