Job Description
Summary: Call & Nicholas is an internationally recognized geotechnical engineering firm based in Tucson, AZ that provides consulting services to clients in the mining industry. They are seeking a geotechnical/geological engineering intern to join their consulting group, where the intern will be involved in both office work and local fieldwork related to geotechnical services.
Responsibilities:
- Data reduction including stereographic, statistical, and geospatial analyses
- Technical reporting and documentation of field work and analysis work
- Laboratory testing, performing and assisting with soil and rock strength testing
- Site characterization
- Geologic/geotechnical mapping
- Geomechanical core logging
Required Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering or mining engineering
- 0-5 years' experience
- All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
