Job Description
Summary: California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a Lobbying Registration & Reporting Support Analyst to join their Political Reform Division. This role involves processing and reviewing registration and disclosure documents related to lobbying, as well as training others and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a wide variety of increasingly complex and analytical tasks associated with the processing and review of registration and disclosure documents filed under the lobbying provisions of the Political Reform Act
- Reviewing and processing lobbying registration and reporting documents
- Training others
- Writing procedures
- Analyzing data
- Creating and presenting reports
- Delivering excellent customer service through phone, email, and in-person appointments
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to properly apply laws, rules, policies, and procedures
- Ability to research and analyze data, solve moderately complex problems and recommend an effective course of action
- Ability to adapt to changes in tasks and/or work environments
- Highly detailed and accurate organizational skills
- Creative thinking skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including experience with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in learning the importance of transparency in campaign finance, and knowledge of filer types, filing schedules and disclosure forms required by the Political Reform Act
