Job Description
Cultivate Feed My Starving Children (FMSC)’s network of international food distribution partners within an assigned region. Form trusting relationships with partners (missions and humanitarian organizations), oversee food allocation and fulfillment and manage sustainable development programs.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits:
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position. Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday during daytime business hours. Approximately 25% expenses-paid international/domestic travel is required.

What You’ll Do:
Foster new and strengthen existing partner relationships through phone interactions, email and in-country visits. Ascertain their need for and intended usage of FMSC food products, and advance relationships to become strategic partnerships. Negotiate multi-year allocation agreements with select partners.
Develop, implement and manage plans to increase FMSC food product utilization by existing and new partners. Prospect for future partners in assigned global region.
Oversee food shipment customs clearance and receipt processes. Monitor shipment security, troubleshoot problems, and work through partners, FMSC agents and customs agencies to ensure smooth distribution.
Manage sustainable development programming. Determine partner issues and concerns, host in-country meetings, facilitate collaboration, provide resources and encourage long-term development solutions.
Review end-of-use reporting (pictures, stories and usage) and ensure fulfillment agreement compliance.
Identify, vet, negotiate contracts, train and manage relationships with in-country agents.
Co-manage sustainable programming with partners and department personnel.
Lead annual planning meetings with partners. Complete partner performance assessments.
Assist with annual partner conference planning and execution. Facilitate presentations. Schedule speakers.
Maintain knowledge of global economic and political situations. Recommend risk mitigation measures to protect shipments and travelers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
Commitment to support, promote and authentically communicate FMSC’s Christian mission and goals.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work experience and 1 year of management experience required. Experience in international relations or business preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience living within a developing nation required. Proficiency in Spanish required.
Able to understand and effectively work in culturally-diverse environments.
Proficient with MS Office. Database experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of detail, accuracy and follow-up.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills. Able to professionally interact and use discretion with all levels of internal and external contacts, including international contacts.
Proven collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills.
Able to actively identify, analyze and solve problems in highly-variable environments. Flexible and adaptable.
Able to travel domestically/internationally up to 25%. Travel at times is to remote and security-difficult areas.
