Job Description
Summary: Busch Vacuum Solutions is seeking motivated students for a project-based summer internship that provides meaningful, hands-on experience within a global industrial organization. Interns will apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting, collaborate with experienced team members, and contribute to initiatives that support real business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support operational planning for a major capital expansion (CapEx) building project
- Assist in industrial engineering analysis related to workflow optimization and process improvement
- Participate in value stream mapping and operational flow assessments
- Contribute to development of a roadmap document supporting operational excellence initiatives
- Track project milestones and performance metrics
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate (rising Junior or Senior preferred) or graduate student pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Foundational understanding of industrial engineering principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to organize and interpret operational data
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams
- Must be available to participate in the full internship program from mid-May through mid-to-late August
- Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX for the duration of the program
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to successfully complete a background check in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with process mapping, value stream mapping, or Lean methodologies preferred
