Position Overview
The Manager Stores Finance leads a team responsible for forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis for key store operating expenses, including non-payroll expenses, shortage control payroll and capital expenditures. This role partners closely with Store Operations, Asset Protection, Finance, Procurement, and field leadership to support expense management, vendor management and operational execution across stores.
Responsibilities include overseeing expense forecasting and financial analysis, managing the store supplies ordering system, supporting annual budgeting and weekly forecasting processes, identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering actionable insights to leadership. The role also develops and mentors two analysts while driving process improvements and analytical best practices.
The ideal candidate is a strong analytical leader with advanced financial modeling, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear business insights in a fast-paced retail environment.
A Day in the Life
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and develop analysts responsible for payroll and non-payroll expense forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
Oversee weekly and monthly forecasting processes, including variance analysis and full-year projections.
Manage annual budgeting and planning processes in partnership with Store Operations, Asset Protection, Procurement, and Finance.
Perform ad-hoc and scenario analysis to evaluate business decisions, operational initiatives, and wage or rate changes.
Monitor key payroll and expense metrics to support financial and operational performance.
Ensure payroll and non-payroll expenses remain within budget to support company profitability goals.
Partner cross-functionally to incorporate operational initiatives into forecasts and budgets.
Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, accruals, and financial reporting.
Oversee the store supplies ordering system, vendor relationships, and order management processes.
Prepare and communicate financial reports, insights, risks, and recommendations for leadership.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
You'll Come With
Experience:
>5 years of experience in store operations, asset protection or finance
History of progressively increasing responsibility in operations functions
Retail experience preferred

Compensation Range: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00
