PROGRAM SPECIALIST

SCOPE:
Provide oversight, direction, and implementation of assigned programs for support services, provide
quality professional development, and ensure program compliance with federal and state regulations to
promote a safe and supporting school environment for student success.

EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ classroom teaching and/or Student Services related fields such as School
Psychology, School Counseling, or School Social Worker experience.
• Knowledge of technology and computer applications as related to traditional integration in classrooms
and teacher/administrator professional development.
• Effective skills in oral and written communications with a wide range of audiences.
• Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with District personnel and the public.
• Skill in organization, time management and the ability to plan, organize and prioritize.

PREFERRED/DESIRED:
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience managing and implementing large projects.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
REQUIRED:
• A Florida Educator Certificate or certification in the appropriate field.
• Valid State Driver’s License
