Financial Reporting Process Improvements Intern

They are seeking a highly motivated Finance Intern to improve financial reporting processes, emphasizing automation and enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of financial systems. Responsibilities: - Financial Reporting Automation: Work on automating the annual statement pages reports by utilizing tools such as Crystal Reports and Power BI - Report Development: Assist in building and customizing reports to enhance financial reporting processes - Statutory Accounting Mapping: Validate and analyze current statutory accounting mappings in our financial software to ensure accuracy - Replicating Reports: Replicate and standardize reports currently produced for New York (NY) to be applied for Life of Boston, ensuring consistency and completeness - Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improving reporting efficiency, accuracy, and provide support in process optimization Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Familiarity with report-writing tools such as Crystal Reports and Power BI (or similar software) - Strong proficiency with Excel and financial software applications - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely - Strong attention to detail and a keen interest in financial data analysis - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals - Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute to process improvements - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Previous internship or coursework related to accounting or finance is a plus Required Skills: Financial Reporting, Report Writing, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Excel, Financial Software, Financial Data Analysis, Statutory Accounting
