Accounting Deal Clerk

Summary: Bob Johnson Auto Group is the largest locally owned automotive dealer group in the Rochester area. They are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team at Bob Johnson Imports, where the role involves managing vehicle sales transactions and supporting dealership operations. Responsibilities: - Verify the accuracy of vehicle sales transactions - Complete the accounting process for general ledger posting of vehicle sales - Review and reconcile accounting schedules - Post general journal entries into the accounting system - Reconcile general ledger accounts - Communicate with sales staff regarding deal paperwork and accounting questions - Provide accounting support to other departments as needed - Perform general office duties, including filing, organizing work areas, sorting documents, record retention, and other administrative tasks as required Required Qualifications: - Strong math skills and excellent attention to detail - Ability to work in a busy office environment with daily interruptions - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Reliable work ethic and willingness to learn - Computer experience, including Microsoft Excel - Ability to communicate professionally with sales staff and other departments - Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines - Available to work on-site 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM Preferred Qualifications: - Accounting experience or accounting coursework preferred Required Skills: Accounting, Microsoft Excel, Mathematics
