Intern, Manufacturing Operations Analyst

Summary: BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is a global biotechnology company dedicated to translating genetic discoveries into new medicines. They are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Operations Analyst intern to support 5S and inspection readiness activities within their Drug Substance Facility, providing hands-on experience in GMP manufacturing and regulatory compliance in a biotech environment. Responsibilities: - Support 5S and inspection readiness activities within our Drug Substance Facility - Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to help ensure workspaces, documentation, and visual management tools meet inspection-ready standards Required Qualifications: - Strong organizational and attention to detail skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks - Comfortable working in a regulated environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Student currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Engineering (Chemical, Bioengineering, Industrial), Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Operations, or related field - Work performed in an active manufacturing environment - Will require gowning and adherence to GMP Procedures - Standing and walking in manufacturing areas required - Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week - Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program - Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles.
