As the Social Worker, you’ll serve as a part of the multidisciplinary care team, advocating residents and assessing their psychosocial needs to enhance their well-being.
About The Role
In this integral role, you will address the psychosocial needs of our residents, ensuring their well-being in a supportive environment. You'll lead teams and programs while overseeing health and safety. By modeling the Wellness Model of Care, you’ll inspire your team and enhance the quality of life for residents. Your responsibilities include leading care conferences, facilitating end-of-service planning, and providing crisis intervention for residents and their families. You'll assess eligibility for financial assistance, develop personalized service plans, and guide support groups. Building strong relationships with residents and external partners will be key, along with managing bed matching and a private pay waitlist. This position prioritizes health and safety, where you will identify and address potential hazards.
This position is located on site at the Heights at Mount View, Victoria. This is a part-time exempt position with a schedule of 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree of Social Work. Master of Social Work preferred.
- Current registration in good standing with the British Columbia College of Social Workers
- Minimum of one year of experience providing services to seniors, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation & Benefits
A competitive salary ranging from $44.85 to $56.02 as outlined by the HSP Master Collective Agreement.
