Job Description
Summary: Baker Newman Noyes (BNN) is a top 100 tax, assurance, and advisory firm in the U.S. and holds a Best of Accounting™ recognition for superior client service. As a BNN Tax Staff, you will work directly with other tax professionals to prepare federal and state tax returns and related work papers for various entities, utilizing tax research tools for proper tax treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal and state tax returns and related work papers for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, individuals, and trusts
- Gather relevant financial information and assemble it into a work paper format
- Utilize tax research tools to help determine the proper tax treatment of a variety of client transactions
Required Qualifications:

- Works to achieve or maintain CPA
- Demonstrates working knowledge in tax preparation at both the federal and state(s) levels
- Keeps current with new tax law developments
- Effectively and timely clears review notes
- Is proficient in using standard software to perform and document work on tax engagements
- Effectively uses the firm's tax reference materials in resolving issues
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in accounting preferred
- CPA certification (active or in process) preferred
