Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Escazu, San Jose
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Junior Business Intelligence Analyst oversees and conducts the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions for internal purposes in BES and for external stakeholders in Bacardi. He/she works directly with stakeholders and the business top management and executives within the assigned departments. The Business Intelligence Analyst will have to handle multiple simultaneous complex tasks, and work with the junior team members to prioritize work, and remain functional under pressure, and aggressive timelines.
ABOUT YOU
As Business Intelligence Analyst, you are responsible for the development of business solutions through the constant upscaling of the existing business intelligence solutions to adapt to the ever-changing business dynamics, and the aggressive pace of the spirits industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards based on business requirements.
Write and optimize DAX and M queries for data modelling and report building.
Collaborate with Specialists and other team members to refine data sources, ensure quality, and align KPIs.
Apply knowledge of Power BI Service, including incremental refresh functions and data flows.
Identify and suggest performance improvements in dashboards and reports.
Support basic Power Automate workflow maintenance and automation tasks.
Work with large datasets under the guidance of a Specialist or Lead.
Stay updated with Power BI features and best practice in the industry.
Develop and maintain automation tools within the Microsoft landscape (e.g., Power Automate, SharePoint, Power Apps).
SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
Skills required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related to Finance / Business Administration
Advanced English.
1+ year of experience in Power BI or related BI tools.
Proficient in Power BI, with working knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and visual customization.
Exposure to Power BI Service and dashboard deployment.
Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Clear and effective technical and non-technical communication, with proven ability to manage establish strong relations with stakeholders and peer group.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Effective team player with a passion for learning and skill development.
Experience designing and maintaining automation solutions within the Microsoft landscape (e.g., Power Automate, SharePoint, Power Apps).
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with SQL databases and basic understanding of data pipelines.
Previous experience in Shared Service Center environment.
