Job Description
Summary: Ascension is a leading nonprofit Catholic health system dedicated to patient-centered care. The Office Operations Assistant will provide essential support in the OB-GYN department, focusing on scheduling, insurance verification, and clerical tasks to enhance women's health services.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered support for women seeking OB-GYN, prenatal, and reproductive health services, ensuring a respectful and welcoming experience
- Facilitate accurate registration, insurance verification, and authorizations to minimize delays and enhance access to women’s health services
- Manage scheduling, medical records, co-payment collection, and daily reconciliations to promote continuity of care and financial accuracy
- Deliver comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the OB-GYN department to maintain efficient, seamless operations
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
- 24 hours a week | Hours vary from 7am-6pm Monday, Tuesday and Fridays | No weekends
- Ability to travel to St. Joseph's Clinic, Wauwatosa Clinic, Glenpoint and St. Francis as necessary
- Healthcare experience
- Customer service experience
- EPIC experience
