Engineering Lab Intern

Summary: ARA is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences. They are seeking an Engineering Lab Intern to join their Rapid Prototyping and Robotics team, where interns will perform tasks related to prototyping, software development, and laboratory management under direct supervision. Responsibilities: - Prototyping (mechanical and electrical fabrication/assembly, hardware and firmware quality testing, performance testing, etc.) - Software development in C++ (bug fixing, quality testing, refinement, etc.) - Administrative support (documentation, purchasing, reporting, etc.) - Laboratory management (small scale electronics, 3D printing, mini CNC setup, etc.) Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's or graduate Engineering or Computer Science degree program - Undergraduates must be in at least their second year of study - Experience in C++ - Familiarity with Windows operating system - Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Strong communication (written and verbal) skills - Excellent attention to detail - U.S. citizenship required.
