Job Description
Summary: Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, seeking a Summer 2026 Unity 3D Developer Software Engineering Intern. In this role, you will enhance your skills in AR/VR development, prototype and develop scalable applications using Unity3D, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance skills in unity 3D VR and AR development
- Protype and develop scalable AR/VR applications using Unity3D
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, artists, and backend developers
- Collaborating with other developers to define, design, and ship new features
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in AR/VR
- Continuously learning and adapting to new tools and platforms
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- GPA requirements of 3.0 or above
- Programming Language Preferably C#
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) knowledge with practical implementation knowledge
- C language fundamentals should be good
- Documenting code and technical specifications for easy reference and future development
- Strong knowledge of Software Design Patterns with their implementation and writing decupled code, theoretical knowledge candidate will be rejected upfront
- Generics

- Unity 3D Engine
- Unity 3d Latest version
- Mono-behavior knowledge
- Lighting, Materials
- Unity URP/HDRP pipelines
- Rigid body, Colliders, and Physics Materials

- Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
- Experience on working with azure DevOps or JIRA software for task management
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience on Hands on VR
