Job Description
Summary: Applied Engineering, Inc. is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join their team in Grafton, ND as a Manufacturing Engineer. The role involves assisting with day-to-day manufacturing tasks, supporting troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day manufacturing or mechanical engineering tasks across production, quality, and process improvement
- Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
- Participate in equipment setup, testing, validation, or maintenance tasks as needed
- Collect data, document findings, and contribute to process updates or standard work
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals
- Perform hands-on work on the production floor to understand processes and drive improvements
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
- Contribute to projects that impact communities in Cavalier, Hallock, and Warren, and the greater Grand Forks, ND metro
- Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Ability to work onsite daily in a hands-on environment
- Strong initiative and willingness to learn
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Internship, co-op, or project experience in manufacturing, mechanical systems, or process improvement
- Exposure to CAD tools, basic troubleshooting, or lean/continuous improvement concepts
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks
- Capable of working independently and as a team member
- Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
- Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Desire to work on a variety of projects
