Job Title :Compliance Officer
Location:Dalian, China
Description
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Compliance Officer to join our APAC regional compliance team in Dalian. This role is central to the effectiveness of our compliance function across the Asia-Pacific region, with a primary focus on reporting preparation, data analysis, and regional coordination.
You will be responsible for the efficient collection, consolidation, and preparation of compliance data and reports for the APAC leadership. This includes supporting various jurisdictions within APAC with their monitoring metrics, KYC/CDD oversight, and regulatory reporting preparations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of AML/KYC principles, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
APAC Regional Reporting & Data Consolidation (Primary Focus):
Collect, consolidate, and prepare routine and ad-hoc compliance reports for APAC regional management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Analyze compliance data (e.g., CDD completion rates, screening results, training status) to identify trends, exceptions, and key insights for management review.
Support APAC jurisdictions in the preparation of materials for regulatory examinations and internal audits.
Maintain and update regional compliance trackers and dashboards.
Compliance Monitoring Support:
Assist APAC compliance teams in executing aspects of the regional monitoring programme, which may include sample testing of client files and transaction reviews.
Support the tracking and follow-up of findings and action items from compliance reviews and audits across the region.
Help monitor the timely completion of client and investor periodic reviews for supported jurisdictions.
Policy & Procedure Coordination:
Assist in the maintenance and version control of regional compliance policies and procedures.
Support the implementation of group-wide compliance initiatives and tool rollouts within the APAC region.
Help track regulatory changes across APAC and support the impact analysis process.
Advisory & Operational Back-up:
Provide back-up support to the APAC compliance teams on operational tasks, including pre-screening of KYC documents and initial CDD checks.
Serve as a point of contact for basic compliance queries from the business, escalating complex matters to the relevant in-country officers.
Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in a compliance, risk, or operations role within the financial services sector.
Strong foundational knowledge of AML/KYC/CDD principles and financial services regulations. Familiarity with regulations in multiple APAC jurisdictions is a strong advantage.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Charts) is essential for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills.
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team.
Highly Desirable:
Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist).
Experience with compliance screening and monitoring tools (e.g., Refinitiv World-Check, LexisNexis).
Proficiency in other Asian languages (e.g., Japanese, Korean) is a significant plus.
