For our business, for clients, and for you JOB SUMMARY The AI Infrastructure and Data Manager leads the team responsible for building and operating AI infrastructure at CAIDO Group. This leadership role involves strategic planning, team management, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of GPU clusters, data systems, and cloud infrastructure. The Manager bridges technical execution with business objectives and stakeholder communication. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and manage a team of AI Infrastructure engineers and associates • Define infrastructure strategy aligned with organizational AI objectives • Oversee the design and operation of large-scale GPU training clusters • Establish capacity planning models and resource allocation frameworks • Drive FinOps initiatives to optimize cloud costs and compute utilization • Ensure high availability and reliability of AI infrastructure (99.9%+ uptime) • Collaborate with ML leadership to align infrastructure with research priorities • Manage vendor relationships for cloud and hardware providers • Develop and enforce infrastructure security and compliance standards • Conduct performance reviews and support career development for team members • Present infrastructure status and roadmaps to senior leadership • Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and automation REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred • 6-10 years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering • 3+ years of people management experience • Deep expertise in cloud architecture and Kubernetes at scale • Strong understanding of AI/ML infrastructure requirements • Experience managing significant infrastructure budgets • Track record of building and leading high-performing teams • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills • Strategic thinking with ability to execute tactically • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience at AI-focused companies or research labs • Background in HPC or scientific computing • MBA or management training • Experience with IPO/M&A infrastructure due diligence • Public speaking and thought leadership experience WORK DETAILS • Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent • Location: Pune, India • Department: CAIDO Group - Innovation and AI • Reports To: Head of AI / CAIDO Leadership • Work Type: Office-based with potential hybrid options Disclaimer: Unsolicited CVs sent to Apex (Talent Acquisition Team or Hiring Managers) by recruitment agencies will not be accepted for this position.
