Health & Safety Intern (Summer 2026)

Summary: Amrize is transforming to become the leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions. They are seeking a Health & Safety Intern for Summer 2026 who is passionate about sustainability and eager to grow and learn in a high-performance culture. The intern will work on safety initiatives, manage projects, and interact with field personnel to ensure safe operations. Responsibilities: - Work to ensure that plant personnel and contractors are operating in a safe manner - To revitalize and update current safety programs - Candidates will have daily interactions with employees out in the field while fine-tuning safety procedures where necessary - Positive working attitude with customers, fellow employees and the public - Actively participates in continuous improvement on safety initiatives - Ensure that all field equipment is operating properly; identify and inform of any field problems - Perform inspections, troubleshooting and quality testing, and provide documentation and reporting as required or as directed by the Supervisor - Manage given projects from start to finish - Review, renew and relaunch current safety programs - Perform any and all other duties as may be assigned from time to time Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or similar field - Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, database systems, and analytics - Willing to spend time out in the field getting to know the business first hand - Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills - Tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly - Strong relationship building skills and attention to detail - Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, initiative and integrity - Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple projects at once Required Skills: Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Engineering Important Skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Analytical skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Problem solving, Organizational skills, Relationship building, Attention to detail, Teamwork, Adaptability, Initiative, Integrity, Self-motivated Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Experience within the building materials industry., Mentorship and professional development training throughout the summer., A culture that promotes diversity, teamwork, work/life balance, and recognition., Learn about the industry from all levels of Amrize management., Potential opportunity, upon graduation, for full-time employment with a successful, fast-growing company!
