About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Operations team. This 12-month contract role is a fantastic development opportunity for a highly analytical professional looking to deepen their commercial and data capability in a fast-paced retail environment.
Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, you’ll play a key role in analysing labour budgets and forecasts, helping to optimise workforce efficiency and improve cost performance across our national store network.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse labour budgets, forecasts and performance across stores nationwide
Identify trends, risks and opportunities to optimise cost of doing business
Develop and maintain reporting to support labour planning decisions
Partner with Operations Managers, Business Managers and Labour leads to provide insights and recommendations
Use data to build compelling narratives that influence business decisions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across labour planning processes
About You
You’re a commercially minded and detail-oriented analyst who thrives on turning data into actionable insights. You bring strong analytical capability alongside the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders.
You will also have:
Strong financial and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets
Advanced Excel skills (essential), with experience in Power BI and other reporting tools preferred
Experience in workforce planning or labour modelling, ideally within retail or a fast-paced environment
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with the ability to work autonomously
Degree qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
