Job Description
Summary: American Enterprise Institute is a leading think tank that connects undergraduate institutions, faculty, and students to public policy. The Academic Programs intern will support event planning and execution, compile surveys, and assist with the Summer Honors Program, while also managing databases and providing logistical support.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the planning and execution of program events at AEI and on college campuses
- Compiling internal surveys
- Aiding the team in the preparation and execution of the 2026 Summer Honors Program
- Researching college campuses
- Managing databases
- Providing logistical support for events hosted in Washington, DC, and virtually
Required Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in today's pressing public policy issues
- Ability to participate in the program for 25-40 hours a week on an in-person basis
- GPA of 3.5 or higher from a top-ranking college or university
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with and an appreciation for AEI
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in report writing
- Proficiency in social media
- Proficiency in database management
