Job Description
Summary: Amentum is involved in space exploration, focusing on missions to the Moon and Mars. The intern will work alongside engineers and scientists on hardware development and test operations for space nuclear propulsion systems.
Responsibilities:
- Working in a controlled lab
- Working with NASA department level PI for R&D specific to SNP
- Supporting Configuration Management and Systems Engineering Processes
- Data interpretation
- Data reduction using engineering tools such as MatLab, Python, WinPlot and Excel
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an engineering, science, technical, engineering, math, computer science, or related BS degree program
- Must be able to provide own transportation
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment
- Must be in good academic standing
- Have demonstrated a very strong aptitude in major field
- Proof Of U.S. Citizenship Is Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree program at an ABET accredited institution is preferred
