Job Description
Summary: Amcor is a leader in the packaging industry focused on innovative and responsible solutions. They are seeking a Quality Intern to investigate the effects of regrind usage on part quality in Injection Molding, involving data collection, performance analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Gather data on regrind content & how it affects overall part quality on overcap production
- Record critical to quality dimensions and overall attribute data
- Analyze the collected data to determine optimal regrind usage rates
- Determine which method of regrind processing affects production & quality
- Identify any variations in performance across various regrind percentages
- Create detailed documentation of the quality performance & processing rates
- Prepare a comprehensive report summarizing the findings of the regrind study on processing & part quality
- Provide actionable recommendations for regrind loadings
- Performance of material trials & part review
- Complete testing in the Analytical Lab or plant lab as directed
- Provide statical analysis of data as directed
Required Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Minitab)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
